5. Contribute to The Welfare of Your Clan

RESOL’NARE 5/6 – CONTRIBUTE TO THE WELFARE OF YOUR CLAN:

Contribute to your clan’s welfare: Your clan is your family, and these bonds can transcend blood bonds. We encourage blood relations to be members of the same clan, but this is a personal choice. For the same reason, we encourage you to be selective about who you bring into your clan, as conflicts within your clan can be serious and damaging.

The welfare of your clan comes before your personal welfare, but you are also a valued member of your clan and should treat your own time, energy, money, and property as a precious resource. Expend these resources wisely in ways that will create a healthy environment for your clan to thrive.
A clan leader is never permitted to take advantage of their clan for personal gain.

As a member of a clan, your clan leader has final say in clan matters. The clan leader will provide guidance on how members should contribute. Clan leaders are advised to discuss with each member how the member feels they can best be utilized.

Your clan should have methods for resolving conflicts internally, and for replacing the clan leader if they are not able to represent the interests of the clan – the traditional method of this is through physical combat, but you clan may decide to settle this through another form of contest, or through mutual decision in some rare cases.

Contributing to the clan’s welfare involves recognizing and harnessing the unique strengths and capabilities of each clan member. Leaders should ensure that tasks are assigned not just based on need but also by aligning them with the individual’s abilities and interests to maximize engagement and effectiveness.
