RESOL’NARE 6/6 – RALLY TO THE CAUSE
When you are called by your clan leader, or by Man’dalor (the leader of the Mandalorian faith & people), you must answer the call. Such things are done only in times of great hardship and danger for the survival of all Mandalorians.
Answering the call does not immediately mean obedience to Man’dalor, but it does mean you are called to weigh in. You may choose to take your clan a different direction; however, doing so may open you to sanctions from other Mandalorians and clans, but that is a choice you may make.
- Being a warrior requires purpose and honor, not simple mindless obedience.
- We are not “mechanical cogs in the bureaucratic wheel of state.” * Reducing “all that is abhorrent in terms of mindless sacrifice, as well as a loathsome depreciation of the loathsome depreciation of value and blind obedience to power” is what sets Mandalorians apart from mindless warriors.
- Empowerment and Responsibility: Answering the call involves not just action but thoughtful deliberation on the part of each Mandalorian. Leaders must cultivate an environment where subordinates feel empowered to make decisions that align with the welfare of the clan and the broader Mandalorian community.
- Diversity of Thought: Recognize and valuing the diverse perspectives and skills within your clan and understanding that a monolithic approach to challenges diminishes the clan’s overall strength and resilience. Encourage open dialogue and debate on the best course of action when rallying to a cause.
- Ethical Leadership: Leaders should exemplify the Mandalorian virtues of honor, integrity, and respect for individual autonomy, encouraging their subordinates to engage critically with their missions and the broader objectives of the Mandalorian people.
